                                                                  Using WYSIWYG Web Builder
Check out more Free Software to help you build a great web site with WYSIWYG Web Builder.

Laying out your page
For starters in almost every instance you will select an object to place on your web page from the many available choices in WYSIWYG Web Builder.   You will left click to create and tentatively  position the object and then drag it out to some nominal size.  You can resize it later after you have configured it.  To configure it double click on the object and the properties window will open.  You are on your way to being a web builder.

WYSIWYG Web Builder competently utilizes "absolute positioning" to help you create your web pages.  The term is somewhat misleading, as is quite typical in computer technology, right?.  What it means to you is that you first create an "object" and then you can move it around wherever you want to position it.   Then later if it conflicts with another page element  or object you can move either or both.  Many objects can be increased or decreased in size at will. An "object" is an element of your web page such as an image, text box, table, etc.

And the next page
Any page you create can be saved as template and then for each new page you simply "Create a new page from template".  The template you select may be one of the many free templates available with WYSIWYG Web Builder or one of your own creation.

Or from another HTML page
Perhaps there is a web site you like on the web or that you have downloaded.  With WYSIWYG Web Builder you can create a new page from an existing HTML page.  Simply make that selection under "File", enter the location of the existing web page and WYSIWYG Web Builder will import it and convert it for WYSIWYG Web Builder use.  This is not an invitation to infringe on the copyrights of others, particularly of images, but it enables you to make shortcuts in style and function when creating your web pages.

Other features
Once you start laying out your own web pages the desire develops to have the pages more dynamic or interactive.  You can go the usual route of searching the web for Javascripts, DHTML scripts and then learn how to include them in your pages.
A better alternative is to simply use all the many features included in WYSIWYG Web Builder.
How about having those cool colored scroll bars show up on your web pages?  How about drop down menus?  How about Iframes, create a web page within a web page.  All these are an integral part of WYSIWYG Web Builder.

Create a photo gallery for your web site complete with thumbnail images.  Or how about a professional looking feed back or information requesting form?  Combined with features from PayPal you can easily create a modest "Ecommerce" web site yourself..

Get what you want
WYSIWYG Web Builder enables you to preview your page at any stage right in your default browser.  View it as your public or your family will, try different things.  Anything worthwhile has a learning curve, but there is nothing that says the learning curve must be long and frustrating.  With WYSIWYG Web Builder you will be aching to show off your web pages soon after you get started.  Purest may say that a true web page must be created using an HTML editor or programs that cost figures in the triple digits.  You can do that if you like.  Open a web page you like in your browser, up on the tool bar select "View" and then "Source".  This will display that page as code in Notepad.  As you peruse that code ask yourself, .......
Well, you get the idea, now get WYSIWYG Web Builder.

If you check the source code of most pages on this site you will find they were created using MS FrontPage.  Does that mean we are promoting one thing and doing another?  Absolutely not.  This web site was established before we found WYSIWYG Web Builder.  Presently The Kingdom's Net web site is undergoing major revision.  It is a large complex site and is being done with WYSIWYG Web Builder.  We will be doing more sites as we go along.  We are converting
www.upstairsvfi.org to WYSIWYG Web Builder so that the ministry in Kenya can contribute to their own web site pages and content at little expense.
