If you use these programs regularly and like them we encourage you to upgrade to a paid version (which are usually very nominal in cost) or donate some amount to the company or developers. This applies even to open source programs. You will NOT be dissatisfied with any of these programs and you will marvel that you didn't have to pay big bucks for them.
Contributing to providers of free software helps cover the cost for continued development and improvements and other cost associated with any online presence.
These programs, however, have been selected to be fully functional and are not just trial versions. (If you find we do not have the most recent Free version please notify us.)

| POP3 Preview - Delete SPAM messages and Viruses before you download them. Comparable to programs costing over $30
When you download email to a client on your PC your risk of getting attached malicious code (viruses, worms, etc.) increases.
Don’t waste your time and bandwidth by downloading spam and viruses to your inbox! With POP3 Preview you can check your E-Mail on the mail (POP3) server without the need to download the whole message. Based on the information in the header of the message (like Subject or Sender) you can decide if you want to keep the message or delete it from the server.
POP3 Preview also includes a SPAM filter, that can filter messages based on the subject or sender. Messages that match the criteria will automatically be selected when you check for new e-mail. All you have to do is simply press’ Purge’ and the Junk E-mails are deleted from the server!

Usage:
Create an e-mail account: select Account->New Account from the menu. Enter the details of your POP3 Server.
Select Receive Messages from the Menu to download the message headers.
The new messages will be displayed in the messages window.
Now you can take one of the following actions:
Add subject to junk filter, adds the subject (or a part of it) to to Junk E-mail Filter.
Add sender to blocked list, adds the sender to the blocked senders list
Add sender to safe list, adds the sender to the safe senders list.
Includes tools to add, edit or remove items from the Junk E-Mail Filter, Blocked Senders List and Safe List.

| This not one of those programs that permit you to scan your PC to scare you, or disgust you into buying the program. Spybot - Search & Destroy is FREE and can detect and remove spyware of different kinds from your computer. Spyware is a relatively new kind of threat that common anti-virus applications do not yet cover. If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you didn't intentionally install, if your browser crashes, or if you browser start page has changed without your knowing, you most probably have spyware. But even if you don't see anything, you may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging that is silently tracking your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile of you that will be sold to advertisement companies. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm in trying to see if something snooped into your computer, too :)
To see a list of threats that Spybot-S&D can remove, visit their web site If you want an introduction how Spybot-S&D works, there is a tutorial on their web site. If you fear incompatibility with other software you are using, they assure you that will not be the case. Still, they have created a compatibility overview listing on their web site for some software that compatibility has been asked for before.
Spybot-S&D can also clean usage tracks, an interesting function if you share your computer with other users and don't want them to see what you worked on. And for professional users, it allows to fix some registry inconsistencies and extended reports. A list of features is available below.
