MicroSoft
AntiSpyware
SlipStream Web Accelerator is compatible with Microsoft
AntiSpyware beta 1. It is recommended that SlipStream be
installed prior to Microsoft AntiSpyware, in order to
reduce conflicts between the two programs.
At installation:
If SlipStream is installed before Microsoft AntiSpyware,
there should be no interference between the two
installations and Microsoft AntiSpyware should not show
any dialogues related to SlipStream. Both programs will be
fully functional.
If SlipStream is installed while Microsoft AntiSpyware is
enabled, the anti-spyware displays four alerts as
SlipStream is being installed.
First Microsoft AntiSpyware alert: click on
"Allow" for
SlipStream to be added to the Startup folder.
Second Microsoft AntiSpyware alert: click on
"Allow" for
SlipStream to load successfully at startup.
Third Microsoft AntiSpyware alert: click on
"Allow" for
SlipStream’s Pop-up blocker to work.
Fourth Microsoft AntiSpyware alert: for
email and FTP acceleration to be functional, the LSP
added by SlipStream need to be left as is. You must
choose "Ignore"
in this case.
Restart
the computer.
Changing
permissions after installation:
If you have blocked any of the above changes SlipStream
attempted to make your system, SlipStream will not be
fully functional. The only way to fix this problem is to
reinstall SlipStream.
Uninstall
SlipStream and restart your computer.
Install
SlipStream following the instructions listed above.
